In the world of mountain biking, suspension is everything. Most of the money spent on research and development by the major brands goes into getting the modern air suspension to function with the rider to best suit the terrain they are riding on. Most of the time there are general guidelines used for setting up pressures to suit different riding styles and bikes. As good as these setups are, most people do not have the tools to setup the bikes to get the maximum performance out of their air suspension. The demand for a system that let the rider view their pressures on demand and especially while riding is no new idea. The current systems that have been created by larger companies however have one downfall, they are expensive and usually only work on one air system at a time either the front or rear suspension. The industry standard for one of these sensors runs about 400$. This means that if someone has a fully suspended bike they need over 800$ in sensors. This is the problem that the system we created solves. We have built a system that will track the pressures of both front and rear pressures simultaneously while displaying these to the rider on the fly which the other systems do not. What we have created is a budget friendly alternative to the industry standard that can be adapted to the riders needs and opens the doors up for the general population to get the maximum performance out of their ride.
