Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a preventable and treatable respiratory disorder largely caused by smoking. Air pollution is one of environmental issues that cannot be ignored. Inhaling pollutants for a long time causes the treatment of COPD patient lung is slow or to face damage. The product development focusing on monitoring air quality, dust density (PM 2.5), temperature and humidity. The COPD is treatable disease, therefore air quality is very important. The main objective of this project is to create the air quality monitoring system that inform the patient about the air quality and raise the awareness. This product will determine the exposure and assess the effects of bad quality air on COPD patient.
Sensor Monitoring Interface
This product is powered by Arduino integrated board that control GP2Y1010AU0F Sharp PM2.5 dust sensor, MQ-135 Air Quality Control Gas sensor and DHT 22 Temperature and Humidity sensor. This product have dual display that provide data and all information on LCD touch screen and android application. All the circuit are safely inside 3D print case that are designed specifically for air monitoring unit.
