Understanding:
Sound waves takes certain time ko cover a distance and has a velocity. Ultrasonic soundwave has velocity of 330m/s in air(varies with medium). Here to calculate distance covered by sound to hit an obstacle, we will be using formula; velocity= distancetravelled/time taken. Here, ultrasonic sensor emits ultrasonic soundwaves that strikes on an obstacle and receives back the echo which helps us to calculate distance between obstacle and the sensor.
Making connections:
Trig pin is connected to pin 5 of esp-32 board. Eco pin is connected to pin 18 of esp-32 board. similarly, connect VCC pin to 5v and GND to GND pin in esp-32 board.
